We are award winning technology consultants, advising, designing and implementing Audio-Visual, Lighting Control and Integrated solutions across the UK and beyond.
Established in 2003, we have a proven track record delivering technologies for private homes and family estates nationwide, and for design-led solutions for luxury hotels, bars, restaurants, nightclubs, leisure and office environments. However big or small your project, quality of service and the calibre of products selected will not be compromised.

The team
The Clever Association team is made up of highly qualified designers, installers and project managers, each with individual specialist skills. Every detail and aspect of your project will be considered and every member of our team is conscientious and passionate about what they do. They pride themselves on delivering the professional and efficient service on which our reputation is built.
We invest a great deal of time developing the expertise of our team, with engineers attending regular in-depth training courses on the installation and function of cutting-edge technology. Homes
We have a wide range of technology to demonstrate in our Harrogate showroom, including Lutron lighting control, automated blinds, multiroom audio, security and Crestron integration, but we also have system components that we can bring to you too.
With access to several demonstration suites across the country, we offer guided tours of cinema systems and listening rooms at varying performance levels. If you have specific audio-visual technology requirements then we can arrange working samples from a multitude of manufacturers, allowing you to make the right decisions for your project.
Hospitality
You can visit several of our completed projects, to get a feel for what we’ve created in some of the best hotels in the UK, including the prestigious Grantley Hall. Please contact us and we can arrange a guided tour to demonstrate in-room, bar and restaurant audio visual and lighting control technology at its very best.
Offices
For examples of office technology within a real working environment, our purpose-built offices located just outside Harrogate showcases how equipment can be discreetly integrated. We’re able to demonstrate a Lutron Quantum lighting control system, lighting design techniques, motorised window treatments, video conferencing, security and Crestron integration.
Alliances
We nurture and value relationships with like-minded design professionals, including Architects, Interior Designers, Consultants, Contractors and Developers. We are proud to offer these key alliances advice for their projects and clients, being on-hand to offer technical guidance whenever required.
We are an active member of the governing body for our industry CEDIA (Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association) and conduct RIBA and BIID approved CPD training sessions for Architects, Interior Designers and various professional bodies.

Architects and Consultants
At the heart of our offering, we consult with Architects, Builders and M&E Consultants early on in the design process, to help with planning a project. We then overlay our technology design onto the building plans to enable the Architect/Developer to determine the impact of technology on the building and space, the infrastructure and the running costs. Investing in this technology upfront, significantly saves money longer term and is more environmentally friendly.
Many of our projects are in prestigious listed buildings, where our sympathetic approach and keen eye for detail are key, bringing the technology and future into the property, whilst maintaining and respecting the originality.
Interior Designers
When working with a client on the interior fitout specification, Interior Designers are often faced with the dilemma of how to integrate technology into a space without it compromising the aesthetics. We understand and are sympathetic to their vision and can provide solutions for all scenarios by hiding and disguising technology within furniture or the fabric of the building.
Not all projects are new build or modern in design, in fact the majority of our projects involve beautiful old buildings requiring modern technology, which needs to be integrated in such a way that it blends in within the traditional environment. All of this is possible to achieve, and we can illustrate this with many clever, often ingenious examples.
