Belgravia Mews House

The project

This Belgravia Mews House underwent a comprehensive refurbishment to create a contemporary living space, in contrast to the traditional exterior of the property.

The backbone of this London Mews House is the future-resilient cable infrastructure that we designed and installed throughout, allowing all the clients’ audio-visual and control needs to be met, both now and in the future. As the property spans over three floors, careful consideration had to be given to all cable positions to ensure that a fast and reliable wired and wireless data network was accessible from anywhere in the house. A centralised video distribution system allows the client to access their favourite visual content on any television around the home.

Creating a light and spacious home was very important to the client so we implemented a Lutron HomeWorks QS lighting control solution, enhancing the living environment, allowing the client to alter light levels and recall favoured scenes at the touch of a button. Wall-mounted Lutron keypads with personalised button engraving, alongside Apple iPads and RTI handheld remote controls, all offer the client an easy way to manipulate lighting and all other smart home technologies.

A high-performance multi-room audio system, using Bowers & Wilkins loudspeakers and digital media streaming amplifiers was installed throughout key areas of the property. High performance in-wall loudspeakers in a surround sound configuration were used within the dedicated media room space, hidden by a custom fabric wrap so that neither performance nor room aesthetics were compromised.

Security systems, including a door intercom and CCTV solution offer peace of mind while in the home or away, being viewable via smart phones, tablets and laptop computers.
